About

Amanda Baright, DO, FACOS, FACS is an osteopathic general surgeon who teaches with the understanding that structure, function, and community are all integral to the care of a patient. She graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine after completing an additional year of an undergraduate Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine teaching fellowship. In 2014 she became an inaugural member of faculty at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine where she taught gastrointestinal anatomy, pathophysiology, physical examination skills, and was the director of the third year osteopathic manipulative medicine clerkship.

She has practiced in rural independent hospitals in Ohio and Wisconsin before joining Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine’s faculty as Chair of Surgery. Dr. Baright is a lifelong member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association and has been a supporter of international medical mission work both by serving in Kenya, Togo, Honduras, Bolivia, and Ecuador and encouraging medical students and residents to go and serve internationally as well.
